Simple. Elegant. Timeless....
Three descriptive words I would use for this wedding.
Simple...
When Audra and I met, she described her perfect day as a short service at her dream location with a cake and punch reception. She didn't want to spend a majority of her time and budget on expensive decorations, a DJ and flowers. She just wanted time to visit with her closest friends and family on her most special day. The venue she chose was Antique Rose Emporium in Brenham, TX. As the name suggests, this place has the elegance of roses and landscaping that creates a perfect backdrop for a wedding. The only factor that kept this day from being as simple as possible was the rain shower that came right before the service started.
Elegant...
Audra chose to use antique books and family tea cups for her centerpieces. Her primary flowers used were peach carnations and, of course, roses.
Nick and Audra opted for a "first look" and private photoshoot before the ceremony began. Then, their bridal party joined them for pictures. This made the transition from the ceremony to the reception take less time, and allowed for a comfortable and relaxed session. They finished with pictures right before the downpour began.
The ceremony went off without a hitch. One of Nick's best friends from childhood officiated and Audra's room mate provided live music. We managed to keep everyone dry!
Timeless...
At the reception, we introduced them, they had their first dance, enjoyed cutting the cake and visiting with their guests. When the time came for the send off, we tossed rose petals, of course! Thank you to Cargile Photography for beautifully capturing this sweet couple's day!!
