I already posted the link for the pictures of this amazing wedding, but I am so behind on blogging about the weddings we've coordinated, I am just now getting around to writing about it. I have been meaning to catch up on my blog for about a month now, but life and coordinating weddings seem to continually get in the way of that. So, I'm starting today, attempting to catch up or at least work towards catching up and beginning with the reception we coordinated back in December!
Glen and Julie are a precious couple, and I happen to know Glen's best man from my church! This was Kara's first time assisting me, and she and I both agree that this is one of our favorite couples. Their goal for their reception was for everyone just to relax and visit. She wanted to talk to everyone and was not very concerned about all the traditional reception events. The wedding took place in December, so we utilized traditional Christmas decor for the tables.

Many decorations were personalized, which also fit Glen and Julie's priorities to make each of their guests feel warm and welcomed. We had a Bible out for people to underline their favorite verses and write their names next the the verse, a canvas for people to put their fingerprints, a table with wedding pictures of their parents and grandparents, as well as a cookie decorating table for the kids that were present. Many brides and grooms prefer kid free receptions, which is great, but this couple adores children and wanted them to not only be welcomed, but also be included in the reception festivities.
Other festive and unique aspects of this reception were a s'mores bar, dessert bar, a coffee bar and biodegradable fake snow to throw when they left the reception!
