Adam and Laura

March 16, 2019

When Laura and I met for the first time, she shared that she is an older bride, never been married before and wanted the very best wedding for her and her future husband and all their friends and family. She was wanting a modern, formal, black tie affair. I was so grateful that she chose me to be her coordinator as I felt that we had an instant connection and I couldn’t wait to work with her to create an amazing setting for her and Adam’s most special day.

The ceremony and reception location was The Stella Hotel, of course. This new, modern, chic place was the perfect setting for what Laura was wanting in a venue.

We created a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony with greenery walls from Details Party Rental and amazing florals by Unforgettable Floral. It turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined!

The Stella is gorgeous by itself, but Laura wanted to accentuate what the ballroom offered with the most gorgeous, gold and bling centerpieces. We also added a sleek, black stage for the band and a matching dancefloor. The cake, by the talented Jaclyn with Fabulous Fare, was amazing in appearance and taste.

Guests were greeted at the Stella with specialized gift bags complete with a weekend agenda for plenty of fun. The amazing Lesa with Birdie Mae Designs created custom invitations, cards for the gift bags and an amazing acrylic seating chart for guests to find their seats. The ceremony was officiated by Laura’s boss and included some sweet, personal touches. We were treated to some live music for the ceremony and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect!

We had a cocktail hour in the foyer of the hotel during photos and then guest proceed inside the banquet room. Laura really wanted to see the room before they entered and watch their faces as they came inside.

Laura hired the band called Limelight Music and they played music during dinner and the cake cutting. I told their leader, Mark Russel, how impressed I was with them during the dinner time and he said, “Oh, you haven’t see anything yet!” And he was right! Once they really got started, we were completely blown away!! I felt like I was treated to a broadway show the whole evening. Singers and musicians got on the dancefloor while the music was being played. The band played non stop the whole night. Musicians and singers took a break or two, but never all at the same time. There were 14 of them, so you never noticed that one or two were missing on break. Everyone was extremely talented and had a great time. And the crowd responded. I’ve never seen anything like it. I don’t think I stopped smiling the entire evening. It was a blast! Unfortunately, the evening DID have to come to an end, but we were so excited to have been able to make this wedding and reception perfect for Adam, Laura and their guests. What an evening to remember always!

As always, we couldn’t have done it without our amazing vendors!
